Experience
Joined the Public Analyst Laboratory of Greater Manchester Council on leaving university in 1974. Involved in the analysis of food, water and consumer goods. Promoted to senior scientist in 1978 and to chief scientist in 1979.
Moved to Lincolne Sutton and Wood Limited, Norwich in 1982 as Deputy Public Analyst dealing with work in the areas of food, water, animal feeding stuffs, fertilisers, microbiology and asbestos. Became a director in 1986.
Became Public Analyst, Managing Director and Chairman of Lincolne Sutton and Wood Ltd in 1988. Continued in this role until the incorporation into Eurofins in December 2007.
Currently holds appointments with several authorities/county councils in East Anglia.
