Christmas Ornaments Survey 2007
It is our experience that products which satisfy the definition of a 'toy' but which fail to satisfy the essential safety requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations are sold, with or without labelling, as Christmas ornaments. Many, if not all, of these articles are child appealing and consequently will present a risk of injury to a child.
The aim of the survey was to determine whether or not child appealing Christmas ornaments on sale in the UK complied with the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
